The Media Acts Like January 6th, 2021, Was the First Time a Bunch of Idiots Stormed a Capitol Building

Tonight the news media will have their eyes peeled watching Joe Biden’s and Nancy Pelosi commemorate the anniversary of the Jan. 6 storm of the U.S. Capitol. Everyone knows it was wrong, flat out wrong.

The occupation of the building, violence, and destruction should not be glorified. However, this is not the first time a group of angry citizens has used this tactic to register a complaint against political happenings.

In 2011, when union leaders didn’t like the Wisconsin legislation to correct the large deficit by removing union bargaining for pension and health benefits, they seized the state capitol and occupied it for several days.

A year later, in 2012, Michigan saw a similar tactic employed at the Michigan State Capitol when protesting turned to violence on the capitol lawn, while the state legislature debated and passed the Right to Work bill.

Angry people act out, but it is not a reason to justify destruction. Like the destruction from summer 2020, riots mingled into protests at capitols across the U.S. as part of the Black Lives Matter movement.

An insurance calculating company, Axios, estimated that the arson, vandalism, and looting between May 26 and June 8 were tabulated to have caused $1–2 billion in insured damages nationally—the highest recorded damage from civil disorder in U.S. history, surpassing the record set during the 1992 LA riots.

Pelosi is not one to miss the opportunity to make the most of a crisis, and this is no exception. The House Speaker has scheduled the event for tomorrow night to include lawmakers’ testimonials, a prayer vigil with members of the Senate, and a panel discussion with left-leaning historians Doris Kearns Goodwin and Jon Meacham to (as Pelosi says: “establish and preserve the narrative” of Jan. 6).

Proving, once more, the tactics in Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals is alive and well on Capitol Hill. Particularly rule number 11: If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside; this is based on the principle that every positive has its negative.

So, what is the narrative that will be preserved by these two Pulitzer prize journalists, or “historians”?

I hope it at least includes some of what Micheal Anton shares in his article about What Progressives Did to Our Cities. While the article is a book review of the San Fransico:

Why Progressives Ruin Cities, it also highlights the connection between social issues that turn to crime and violence starting with not maintaining civility and reducing small crimes that lead up to the large riots and destruction that deface capitols and destroy businesses.

The fact is people on both sides get gunned up and act stupid all the time. The media blatantly ignoring the entire story solidifies how far left the press has gone. If you want honest reporting, don’t hold your breath.

  1. The forever lame brained Demo-rats are acting like this was The Storming of the Bastille, or the Battle of the Alamo. Well pelosi, you are not Marie Antoinette, even if you think you are royalty. And chucky, you are not James Travis, or David Crockett. So put on your tinfoil hats, go sit in a corner, mix up some more koolaid for your “Sheep” and STFU!!! LETS GO BRANDON!!!!

  2. I’m from Wisconsin. When they occupied and trashed our State Capitol, doing well over a million dollars worth of damage to the building. Democrats insisted they were just exercising their “ right” to protest. And refused to allow the police to take any action against them
