Denver, CO — If you thought masks would be going away anytime soon, you’d be mistaken, because Dr. Anthony Fauci says masks will become “seasonal.”
Fauci, the White House’s Chief Medical advisor, took to NBC’s Meet the Press yesterday to spread more of the pro-mask agenda, saying, “I think people have gotten used to the fact that wearing masks, clearly if you look at the data it diminishes respiratory diseases, we’ve had practically a non-existent flu season this year merely because people were doing the kinds of public health things that were directed predominately against COVID-19.”
Masks have become part of daily life in the COVID era; there’s no doubt. While some mask requirements have started to fade across the country, we may see mask use well into the future.
Fauci continued, “it is conceivable that as we go on a year or two or more from now that during certain seasonal periods when you have respiratory-borne viruses like the flu, people might actually elect to wear masks to diminish the likelihood that you’ll spread these respiratory borne diseases.”
Note, this is the same guy who recommended that people start to wear two masks instead of one and also has stated that even COVID-vaccinated people should continue mask usage.
But Fauci may be right in this instance. It certainly is conceivable that the issue of masks will become a cyclical topic long past the end of COVID. Culturally, the United States has never been big on mask-wearing, but countries like China have used masks seasonally for years.
The United States may not be far behind if Fauci’s prediction is in any way accurate.
Notice, though, Fauci used the term “elect” when he was talking about seasonal mask usage. Whether or not state and local governments will stick with the “elective” part remains to be seen. They have gotten away with mask mandates thus far, and they may try it again.
But as the messaging from the CDC and the Pharma communities have started to indicate, “COVID” isn’t going away soon, despite the constantly declining infection numbers. As time goes on, one thing is clear: top members of the medical community are trying to make “COVID life” the new normal. The real question is, will society accept that new norm?

And people may “elect” to burn their masks just like the burned their draft cards in the 60’s to protest the war in Vietnam. Only this time the protest would be against Goverment overeach. Quarantine is supposed to isolate the sick, not incarcerate the healthy.
I agree and I don’t agree. IF you are in a hospital and people all around you are coughing and sneezing and you feel that everyone around you has a cold or the flue, it has always made sense to wear a mask and NOT because Fauci says so or China does. Just going out on the town, for a bar date or to eat dinner, NO, I am not wearing one, or to go to Times Square and watch the ball drop or to a football game. If I am at a transportation center where world travelers are packed tighter than fish in a barrel, I may or may not. The idea is to use your common sense and the government stay the hell out of my personal life. More and more each day, week or month, someone in a government/political position will want to use their power and authority and tell everyone around them to do as I say because I am who I am.
