Washington, D.C. — President Joe Biden spoke at the Coast Guard commencement today, where at one point he attempted to recycle a joke from the “Great Communicator” Ronald Reagan. But the joke didn’t land this time around.
The joke, so it goes, is “the Coast Guard is the hard nucleus about which the Navy forms around in time of war.”
Reagan, known for his particularly good delivery, garnered plenty of cheers when he told the joke in his Coast Guard commencement speech in 1988. Biden, however, got nothing but silence.
President Biden then went on to call the Coast Guard members in the audience “dull” and then pleaded for claps which the audience did eventually (maybe reluctantly) indulge.
This isn’t the first time Biden has scolded members of the military for not cheering for him. In 2016, Biden called service members “stupid bastards” when they did not immediately clap for his statement. Sure, it’s in jest, but that doesn’t make it any less bad.
Whether it was Biden’s delivery or it really was that the attendees were just “sitting in the sun too long,” it makes for a pretty cringe and even funny video.

The moron in chief omitted the word “which.” It was gibberish that begged the listener’s mind to play it over as “…the hard nucleus about which the Navy forms…” as Reagan initially said it. Our mentally afflicted chief mis-plagiarized it into “…the hard nucleus around the navy forms…” and try as they might, it didn’t make sense because nuclei don’t form around things. Things form around them. I doubt that any of these grads had ever heard Reagan’s words and of course it fell flat. To this day, I doubt that he understands why.
This guy is an embarrassment that can’t be corrected, international joke is not a misuse of his thought words and deeds. Left has a lot to answer for allowing this to continue, Democrats did not want him near nuclear codes, they should be worried about his live media encounters, oops to late. Our enemies sense weakness confusion, empty White House, no real leadership, just far our left ideas that are bankrupting our economy. China and Russia have certainly got what they paid for…..
