Dearborn, MI — President Joe Biden threatened to run over a member of the press for asking a question on Israel, then said, “I’m only teasing.”
A reporter on the track asked, “Mr. President can I ask you a quick question on Israel before you drive away…” but Biden cut off the reporter before they could finish. The president responded, “Uh, no, you can’t. Not unless you get in front of the car before I step on it. I’m only teasing.”

The friendly press members chortled with laughter at Biden’s witty remark, unwilling to consider the implications behind the remark.
Now, it was a joke (probably), and that is not the issue here. Had President Donald Trump made a similar joke, you can only imagine the news cycle surrounding the comment.
Like many jokes, there is probably a grain of truth to Biden’s joke about running over a member of the press. After all, Biden refuses to make any major public statements on the Israel-Gaza conflict.
Biden is afraid of alienating the pro-Palestine, anti-Zionist voters in his base. If he goes further than publicly calling for a cease-fire, his support will fracture.
The truth is Biden would probably prefer to run over one of his adoring fans in the liberal press than answer a hard question or take a real stance on a major foreign policy issue.
This video makes it apparent that Biden would rather go zoom zoom in a fancy truck than actually run the country and stand with our allies in Israel. What a joke.
