New London, CT — President Joe Biden tried to quote communist dictator Mao Zedong in his commencement speech to U.S. Coast Guard graduates.
Biden attempted to use a famous quote from Mao, stating, “Women hold up half the world.” The actual quote states, “women hold up half the sky,” but let’s not split hairs.
The President of the United States just quoted the greatest mass murderer of the 20th century. You might think that title would go to Adolf Hitler or Joseph Stalin, but you would be incorrect. Mao Zedong’s attempts to create a socialist China cost the lives of up to 65 million people. More conservative estimates put the number of people murdered by Mao’s policies at 45 to 50 million, but that doesn’t make it much better, does it?
Now, the leader of the free world just quoted mass murderer Mao Zedong in a commencement speech.
