Roger Stone Calls Out DeSantis on Constitutional Carry

A video sent in from one of our readers shows Trump associate Roger Stone demanding Florida Governor Ron DeSantis start pushing for Constitutional Carry.

The video is only 11 seconds in length and was allegedly filmed last weekend during his entrance while Stone was at a voter integrity event in Tampa, FL.

In the video Stone plainly says,

Governor DeSantis, with all due respect, the voters of Florida want open Constitutional Carry, let’s get it done now.

Stone is referring to House Bill 103 introduced in the state legislature by Rep Anthony Sabatini who is now running for Congress.

The bill, known as Constitutional Carry, would allow law-abiding citizens to carry a firearm without a permit. Constitutional Carry has been sweeping the nation with 21 states having passed it, 5 in just the last year (Texas, Montana, Utah, Tennessee, Iowa).

Similar legislation is passing through 5 other state legislatures currently during the 2022 legislative season; Georgia, Alabama, Indiana, Ohio, and Nebraska.

Governor DeSantis has gone on record in favor of the legislation but has not actively pushed legislators to get it to his desk.

Stone’s remarks come on the heels of a feud between Stone and DeSantis in recent weeks.

In an attempt to dissuade DeSantis from running for President against a likely run by former President Trump, Mr. Stone hurled insults at Governor DeSantis and claimed he would lose ‘big time’ to Trump in a head-to-head race for the Republican nomination. DeSantis however did not take the bait and refused to respond to Stone’s taunting.

The gun legislation has wide grassroots support but has largely been ignored by Florida politicians. Despite the Governor, Senate President Wilton Simpson, Republican Party of Florida Chair Joe Gruters (also a state Senator), Senate Majority Leader Debbie Mayfield, and the Subcommittee Chair where the bill is being held, Rep. Chuck Brannan, all having gone on record in favor of Constitutional Carry, the bill has not yet had a single vote or hearing in either chamber.

Multiple pro-gun organizations and several multi-issue conservative organizations have issued statements in favor of the bill, including nearly a dozen county Republican parties in Florida.

To date 4 medium-sized grassroots rallies have been held across the state, 2 of which were at the Capitol.

  1. Unless there is a valid reason, like commiting a weapons related felony, constitutional carry has my vote. There was a town in Indiana, I won’t name it because the lib zombies would invade it, that had a law saying everyone over the age of 18 must carry a gun. After training in weapon safety first, also mandatory. This was the most polite and least crime town in America. Face facts liberal zombies, criminals do not follow antigun laws, and umarmed law abiding citizens are prime targets.
