Reporter Suspended Saying Fox News is ‘Muzzling’ Her Reporting on Air

Houston, TX — A reporter was suspended after saying that Fox News is “muzzling” her reporting during an on-air report.

Reporter Ivory Hecker made the statement live on television, saying “Fox Corp has been muzzling” her to keep information from viewers.

“Before we get to that story, I wanna let you, the viewers, know that Fox Corp has been muzzling me to keep certain information from you, the viewers, and from what I’m gathering, I’m not the only reporter being subjected to this,” said Hecker. I’m going to be releasing some recordings about what goes on behind the scenes at Fox because it applies to you, the viewers.”

In Hecker’s on-air announcement, she said that Project Veritas, a non-profit journalism group famous for publishing Facebook leaks, is going to publish some of those recordings today.

It is not clear yet what the recordings contain, but Fox has reportedly suspended Hecker “effective immediately.”

“I wanted to call you and let you know that you are suspended, effective immediately,” a Fox employee reportedly told Hecker in a recorded phone call released by Project Veritas today.

You can listen to the recording below.

Texas is a one-party consent state, meaning people can legally record conversations without informing the other party. However, releasing these recordings is likely a violation of her contract with Fox.

Here is the video of Hecker announcing that she intends to go public with her recorded conversations.

We will cover Hecker’s “behind the scenes” conversations once they are released by Project Veritas, so stay tuned!
