A Fetal Heartbeat Sounds Loudly Throughout America

Washington, D.C. — North Dakota and the Bible Belt (the southeastern region of the United States) are leading the charge in change for the better.

The Heartbeat Bill is starting to conquer the evil inflicted upon unborn babies. Though this selfish injustice is still accepted by many, the line to be crossed being pushed back is remarkable for our nation.

This legislative decision in our government may be one of the best improvements for the whole of our nation. But, what is the Heartbeat Bill? What is the reason for the push on the Heartbeat Bill? Why is this good?

The Heartbeat Bill was proposed to start giving a voice to unborn babies with no voice. When abortion could have been possible at any time, these states stepped up and said “enough.” They found a point where anybody with a head on their shoulders would agree that the embryo is indeed living. In these states, once a heartbeat can be detected, it is not morally just to terminate the embryo.

Pro-life activists see this legislation as a huge win in the movement to end abortion. The embryo has a heartbeat. This pulsation throughout the organism shows us the child is alive and to kill it is to bring something to the opposite of life. Therefore, when a baby is terminated after it can be proven to show life, it becomes murder.

This bill is vital to our future generation. This “my body, my choice” argument is not taking into consideration the future life. Yes, your body matters, but in the words of Kirsten Watson (Wife of NFL player Benjamin Watson), “A right isn’t a right if I only apply it to me and remain unwilling to grant to others what I ask for myself.”

When talking about bodily rights in the context of abortion, we find that Kirsten is correct. We search for this equality in our nation and still forget the rights of future citizens of the United States!

Can we really dismiss the injustice that is abortion when the embryo’s livelihood can be proven? We need to push back against this inhumanity and fight for the lives of future generations. The Heartbeat Bill started the progression; let’s keep the ball rolling, America!
