Washington, D.C. — The U.S. Chief of Naval Operations defended recommending a radical book on antiracism to Navy sailors.
Admiral Michael Gilday defended his decision to put Ibram X. Kendi’s book “How to Be an Antiracist” on the Navy’s list of books every United States sailor should read.
In the video, Representative Jim Banks (R-IN) questions Gilday about his decision to include the book on the list. Gilday dodges Banks’ questions about whether the recommended book introduces extremist beliefs into the U.S. Navy.
For those of you who do not know of Kendi or his book, he believes that every person who is not actively seeking out and opposing so-called “systemic racism” is a racist. He also believes that capitalism and racism are “conjoined twins” that cannot be separated and further likens capitalism to white supremacy.
Kendi wrote that “the origins of racism cannot be separated from the origins of capitalism… the life of capitalism cannot be separated from the life of racism.”
To Kendi, if you are not anticapitalistic, you cannot be an antiracist, and if you are not an antiracist, then you are a racist.
Kendi’s beliefs are anti-American to the core.
Yet, an admiral in the U.S. Navy has read and is recommending this racist, anti-American book to the men and women tasked with defending our country. Not only that, but he refused to answer straightforward questions regarding the extremism featured in Kendi’s book.

I am a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer and I am appalled at what the CNO is recommending. If the Navy spent more time on actual training and performance instead of what I consider “bullshit” and a waste of time maybe, just maybe, there would be far fewer commanders and top enlisted leaders being relieved of their duties for poor performance and lack of confidence.

Navy thirty five years, Mustang, E1-O6, retired. The Navy was created by geniuses and is now and has been recently run by morons. Gilday should be fired and retired with prejudice. We never had any trouble with race. You did your job or else. Color made no difference. You took the advancement exams and if you made the cut you were advanced. Now he and SecDef have awakened a sleeping giant. They are the prime examples of “woke” morons. And, I thought Zumwalt was bad. The Navy and the nation are the losers.
Just like with the Army the Navy had most of it’s AMERICAN officers fired/retired by obama. Thus the communist leaning remainder moved up into the leadership positions. Either that or these people don’t have the guts to publicly retire in protest to the new policies. So all of our military are being subjected to socialist/communist indoctrination and policies designed to weaken our military response to threats to this country.
