Gov. DeSantis Orders Flags to Half-staff to Honor Rush Limbaugh

Tallahassee, FL — Governor Ron DeSantis ordered flags to be flown at half-staff to honor Rush Limbaugh. The Conservative radio legend passed away on Feb. 17.

At a political rally in West Palm Beach, DeSantis said, “What we do when there’s things of this magnitude, once the date of internment for Rush is announced, we’re going to be lowering the flags to half-staff.”

We are not aware of announcements from any other governors. Hopefully, more states, including Limbaugh’s birth state of Missouri, follow suit.

DeSantis also ordered flags at public buildings to be flown at half-staff after Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg passed away in 2020.

At the rally, DeSantis spoke about further securing Florida elections, including a call to end ballot harvesting. Except in Miami-Dade County, there is no limit on the number of mail-in ballots a person can collect “harvest” and turn in at a drop-box in Florida. People cannot accept payment to collect and turn in ballots from other voters.

DeSantis also voiced support for legislation to make it a requirement for voters to request mail-in ballots, rather than every voter receiving a ballot.

In related news, Premier Networks promised to air clips of The Rush Limbaugh Show “until his audience is prepared to say goodbye. Over 20 million people listen to the show on weekdays.
