Albany, NY — If you haven’t been paying attention, the last few weeks have been an interesting one for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Cuomo had long been praised in liberal circles for his handling of COVID-19, receiving immense praise, media accolades, and a book deal in which Cuomo self-declared himself a hero during the pandemic.
While more nuanced coverage criticized Cuomo for his handling of nursing homes which led to New York being one of the hardest-hit states in the last year, he was none-the-less praised by the likes of Trevor Noah and CNN editor-at-large Chris Cillizza, amongst others.
However, all that changed last month when various stories came to light that not only implicated the Governor in conspiring to misreport COVID deaths but also multiple allegations of sexual harassment and unwanted sexual advances.
These accusations, two of which come from former aides, state that the Governor repeatedly made inappropriate sexual remarks to them.
In light of this news, the Democrat-controlled legislature in New York has moved swiftly to repeal Governor Cuomo’s emergency powers during COVID, a clear political signal that the party is distancing itself from him.
In a 40 minute briefing on COVID earlier today, the first since the accusations, the Governor denied allegations against him and stated that he would refuse to step down.

Get Cuomo out and put AOC in as Governor of New York, I would pay to support her campaign, there is no finer example of how disastrous those socialist policies that could ever be illustrated than with AOC as Governor of the 4th largest state, it would be epic!

A more interesting story would be why the MSM is being allowed to attack him and Newsom. Their failings have been evident for quite awhile but were ignored by MSM. Why are they being sacrificed now? Is something else in play?
I believe so Dave. Newsome is about to be recalled by over a million of us Californian’s . We are do disgusted in this man. He has ruined our State to benefit himself and he must go. He kept his Napa winery open way longer than the other Wineries and he went out for dinner parties while we the ppl were stuck at home. I also think Cuomo n Newsom are a great distraction for whatever the democrats are planning now. Something big no doubt . Cuomo’s sinking draws attention away from Biden’s sinking. Everyday both of their problems get worse. If Biden wasn’t having enough problems trying to explain his acceptance – support? of the Chinese trying to eradicate Muslims in China – today the Chinese courts deemed that homosexuality is a mental disorder. Joe? Comments?
having lived in nys for decades, the then democrats did not care, the liberal/socialist could care less, corruption is the norm, is expected, rampant . Those that live down state and vote are 90 % now liberal/socialist, and with the majority of the population down state they control all senate,ag, ss, and gov races, no other voices heard. Erie county use to be the last Repub fort, but has been over run. The answer is they will not impeach cummo, a few old dems might if up for relection
It’s time to arrest this sleazebag,arrogant,narcistic,bully, that keeps tightening that rope around his neck, he just can’t lie about the damage he caused for so many people and families, with his idiotic move of putting elderly sick patients with vulnerable healthy patients and caused so many deaths. He can’t talk his way out of this, and needs to be impeached, or dragged out of office for his incompetence.
