Washington, D.C. — The Center for Disease Control (CDC) announced that vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks, indoor or out, in most places.
President Biden followed the announcement with a tweet that gives a vaguely threatening ultimatum: get vaccinated or wear a mask.
This CDC decree comes only a week after they announced that vaccinated people still had to wear masks indoors and in crowds, so the timing on this new rule shows the continually changing standards and overall inconsistency with how the government handles COVID regulations.
Dr. Fauci has repeatedly said that vaccinated people still need to wear masks for two reasons: COVID variants and the possibility that vaccinated people can still spread COVID.
But as of yesterday, that narrative has pulled a Houdini.
There has never been any evidence to suggest that vaccinated people are able to spread the virus, nor has there been a COVID variant that hasn’t been found to be infectious to vaccinated people. The CDC continued their mask guidelines regardless and no doubt had an effect on statewide policies.
Suddenly, Democrat-led states, including California and New York, are considering relaxing their mask mandates to mirror the CDC.
Oddly, the CDC is continuing some carve-outs for mask requirements. Masks are still required on airlines, even if you’re vaccinated. Which, is interesting given that airlines are typically using hospital-grade air filtration systems. Studies show that getting COVID-19 on an airplane is unlikely as is.
Another question that arises from new guidelines is whether this will lead to more vaccine passport policies. For example, Major League Baseball stadiums have started to implement “vaccinated” and “unvaccinated” sections in their stadiums.
Creating segregation-like rules from the federal government could lead to vaccine passports everywhere. Passport policies are under intense scrutiny, especially from the Republican side of the aisle who cite medical privacy concerns. The Federal Government may take this opportunity to push the vaccine passport agenda onto as many states as possible.
CDC guidelines seem to change daily, which makes policymaking difficult, to say the least. With COVID-19 cases dropping daily, it is only a matter of time before the CDC changes its mind again.

Has anyone ever heard of any study that proves that masks work. I haven’t. I have seen some where masks don’t work. Look at Florida. Look at any place where masks have not been used and see the results. That’s more proof than what some “expert” like Fauci can show as a reason to wear them. I see people walking down the street by themselves wearing masks. I see people driving their cars with the windows closed and probably with the air conditioner on wearing a mask. This is crazy.
