There Are Two Standards For Protesting

When conservative peacefully protest, the press tells us they are crazy weirdos…

St. George, UT – There are two standards for protesting. The first standard is for rioters, looters, and other hoodlums. The second standard is for the average American with a grievance.

All in the name of Black Lives Matter, we’ve seen cities terrorized and vandalized. Protesters embrace the lawlessness that they crave. These hoodlums want to do away with law enforcement because the idea of civil society makes zero sense to them.

Every evening, we read and see on the news, businesses being destroyed, public monuments being defaced and destroyed, restaurant-goers terrorized, violent attack from the left on innocent bystanders, or people who disagree with them.

The left has caused too much mayhem. Now, on the flip side of the equation, you see peaceful average Americans protesting things like mask mandates or businesses being shut down by the government. These protesters aren’t violent (except when attacked by a violent left “counter-protest). These protesters clean up after themselves. These protesters don’t loot or vandalize any property in the vicinity.

There are two standards for protesting.

One would think that these are the types of peaceful protests would be treated fairly by the lamestream media. You would think that the celebrated art of protest by these peaceful average Americans would be lionized in news broadcasts by the media. You would be wrong.

The peaceful protesters are often compared to “crazies” for not wearing masks, or because they want their freedom back. All the while, these violent lefty hoodlums are the ones being lionized. Do you see the backward double standard?

Let’s look at the Anti-mask mandate protest recently in St. George, Utah. The coverage was unfair, to say the least, much like all non-liberal left protests. Let’s take a look, from ABC4 News:

After more than one week since schools have reopened in Washington County, the Liberty Action Coalition hosted an anti-mask mandate rally in front of the school district building Friday morning…Up to a thousand people showed up in St. George, stating children being forced to wear masks in classrooms is illegal and unconstitutional and they are “tired of not being able to live their normal lives.”

Yes, we are all sick of these mandates. As COVID testing becomes more available, the death rates drop. The math shows that these lockdowns and mask-mandates were utterly unnecessary. We don’t know the ill health effects these masks have on our children. Parents have a right to be concerned.

However, the schools just don’t get it. More from ABC4 News:

School administrators responded that they don’t understand why crowds are protesting them based on a mandate given by Utah Gov. Gary Herbert… “They blocked off the front entrance to the school district building, and we went out to ask them to move and they attempted to storm in,” director of communications Steven Dunham said. “We want to keep schools open. If a mask is helping protect teachers who are putting themselves at risk, that’s a small price to pay for them to educate your children.”

So, we pay taxes. These taxes fund the schools, teachers, and administrators. They work for us, and if we don’t want a mask mandate, the schools should listen.

What is interesting here is with all of the lootings and forced entries by the left in their protests, it hasn’t been that big of a deal. When some parents want to gain access to a building, legally and peacefully – it is a big deal.
