St. Louis, MO — St. Louis mandated masks be worn inside and on public transportation beginning Monday, July 26.
The mandate for St. Louis City and St. Louis County includes everyone over the age of five, including those already vaccinated for COVID-19. Wearing masks outdoors will reportedly be strongly encouraged.
Backlash for the mandate was swift, and it’s understandable why.
Many people agreed to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in order for their lives to return to normal. They took the vaccine to protect themselves and their family, to return to work, and a host of other reasons.
Nobody should be mandated to wear a mask. However, it is even more absurd to mandate masks for those who are vaccinated.
The mandate also undermines trust in the vaccine, which continues to falter due to conflicting media narratives over the course of the pandemic.
County Executive Dr. Sam Page issued a statement about the bizarre and authoritarian order.
“For those who are vaccinated this can feel like punishment. Punishment for doing the right thing. I have heard that and I feel that frustration. While the vaccine can prevent serious illness it can’t protect you from being infected with COVID-19 and passing it along to someone else, someone who may be more vulnerable. Until we get more people vaccinated we must continue to do what we can to protect ourselves and others. I wish we had more people vaccinated. But right now, this is where we are,” said Dr. Page.
Page failed to give a date or requirement for when the mask mandate might be lifted, and the order states that the mandate will “continue in effect until amended or rescinded.”
The lack of an end date or a stated target by the city and county of St. Louis is alarming. It shows that the tyrants running St. Louis hold little to no regard for the freedom of the people in their control — though that should not surprise anyone.
Perhaps more concerning is the threat of other mandates if those in power decide the mask mandate is not effective enough.
If that is the case, St. Louis might see another round of closures for businesses deemed “non-essential.”
Worse than that, officials in the city and county could attempt to mandate vaccines. This is not a stretch considering the city is blaming the increase in cases on low vaccination rates.
Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt plans to file a lawsuit to end the mandate on Monday.

The City of St. Louis knows that Vaccinated people are spreading Covid mutations and should be wearing masks and even under lock down to keep from spreading to others. Pfizer knows that people Who are vaccinated are shedding off the Vaccine for six seeks or more after vaccinations – that the Vaccine itself act like a virus spreader.

I’d say the increasing cases are a result if thousands of illegal aliens being dispersed into areas across the country! Many are not tested before being dispersed & many, many have not been vaccinated!
