President Trump Weighs in on Colin Kaepernick

Thumbs up if you’re good enough…
Officer Ella French was fatally shot in the line of duty on Saturday (Chicago Police Department).

We like sports, and we read ESPN among other sports websites. So when sports meets politics, we’re always happy to write about it.

We’ve covered Colin “On His Knee-Cap” Kaepernick before. If you were following our organization around Independence Day, we opined that Kaepernick had essentially become the CEO of Nike by killing the release of a pretty sweet pair of Nikes with the Betsy Ross flag on them. Read the article, and get mad (if you know how to get a pair, contact us through the tip line!)

This article is about President Trump being asked if Kaepernick should play in the NFL. When we saw the article, we [secretly] were hoping the President would light him up. Although we were a little disappointed, we did appreciate President Trump speaking the truth and cutting right through the bologna.

The President’s take on Kaepernick playing again in the NFL: “only if he’s good enough.” Yes, absolutely – through all of Kaepernick’s focus on disrespecting America, we need to remember he had two decent seasons in 2012 and 2013 with the San Francisco 49ers. Then he pretty much went downhill and could not stay healthy. His last year with the 49ers was 2016, and they had missed the playoffs three seasons in a row. He also only played a full two seasons in 2013 and 2014, showing he is injury-prone.

Now Kaepernick is 31 years old and has been out of the NFL for three seasons. It’s not like riding a bike, as Peyton Manning said after he returned from injury, “it’s all about the reps.” Trust us, Kaepernick is NO Peyton Manning, and we just don’t see him having the skills to compete.

NFL teams are lucrative businesses. If Kaepernick could help a team win, they WOULD sign him. Trump is right; this is about performance, not about politics.

  1. The hell with this bum. Go to North Korea, Cuba. Good riddance. You’d fit right in. He’d look good driving a ’51 Chevy.

  2. I was personally disappointed in President Trumps answer to Kaepernick; The President’s take on Kaepernick playing again in the NFL: “only if he’s good enough.” I believe that if an athlete is not proud of the country that gave them an opportunity to make a better than average living by playing a game for a job, they should not be allowed to play. They are not irreplaceable, there is always a younger, stronger, more driven individual in the wings. To reiterate: If they don’t love the USA, they can play elsewhere.
