Washington, D.C. – Poll results show a majority of our readers do not trust the COVID-19 vaccine, according to a poll we ran at the beginning of the week.
Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine is showing promising results in trials, according to the pharmaceutical corporation.
However, over two-thirds of those polled said they would not get the COVID-19 vaccine.
In contrast, just over 25 percent of respondents said yes, they would get a COVID-19 vaccine when it is released. An additional nine percent said they would get the vaccine eventually.
People are not ready to trust a COVID-19 vaccine yet, which is not necessarily surprising.
Some of those polled claimed they did not trust taking the vaccine as an at-risk individual. Others noted that vaccines are not always effective.
A number of other folks were not concerned with contracting the virus themselves. That is not to say these people are not concerned about at-risk individuals.
There is no planned release date for a COVID-19 vaccine.
