Republicans Poised to Take 50-48 Seat Lead as Final Senate Races are Called

Washington, D.C. – Republicans are poised to take a 50-48 seat lead as the final Senate races are called in North Carolina and Alaska.

The Associated Press has not called either race, and the results are not official.

However, you can mark these races down as wins for the Republican party.

Republican Senator Thom Tillis won a tough re-election campaign after Democrat challenger Cal Cunningham conceded yesterday.

In Alaska, Republican Dan Sullivan leads with 57.5 percent of the vote and is projected to win handily.

Should the DOJ investigate all credible voter fraud claims?

The 2020 election results are a mixed bag for Republicans.

Let’s start with the good news.

Republicans closed the gap in the United States House of Representatives. Democrats retained control, but their majority will shrink considerably when all the election results are finalized.

Senate control is still up in the air after a number of wild races. It looks like both Senate races in Georgia are headed to a runoff election on Jan. 5.

Unfortunately for Republicans, it appears former Vice President Joe Biden won a narrow victory over President Donald Trump.

The Trump campaign will continue to file lawsuits to challenge the results. That is their right and something they should absolutely pursue.

Additionally, the Department of Justice is opening investigations into claims of voter fraud and irregularities, according to Attorney General William Barr.

That said, we do not expect the Trump campaign’s lawsuits to move enough votes for Trump to win re-election.

Republican control of the Senate is the only thing stopping sweeping socialist reforms in the United States.
