Santa Fe, NM — Democrat New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham spent thousands of tax dollars on liquor, groceries, and dry cleaning, according to a report.
The Santa Fe New Mexican reported on the questionable spending practices and hypocrisy of Grisham last Thursday. Evidently, she spent $13,500 of New Mexico’s tax dollars on fancy groceries, liquor, and even dry cleaning in the second half of 2020.
Receipts show more than $6,500 on groceries, from Wagyu beef and tuna steaks to several purchases of alcohol, including bottles of tequila, vodka, gin, wine and beer.

Grisham is also under fire for holding meetings in her mansion while publicly telling New Mexicans not to visit friends and family. A spokesperson for Grisham claimed the meetings were small, included masks, and complied with social distancing.
That said, with so many people now familiar with virtual meetings, it’s unclear why in-person meetings are necessary when the governor tells the general public not to meet.
House Minority Whip Rod Montoya (R) said, “It really appears in the Governor’s Office as if she really believes herself to be more privileged than everybody else in New Mexico.”
The governor’s spokesperson claimed “context is important,” implying that the $13,500 was no big deal in the grand scheme of things.
Still, it makes little sense for the governor to spend taxpayer money on dry cleaning when she makes a six-figure salary.
Grisham also gave $7,500 to $12,000 salary increases to multiple employees in her office at a time when New Mexicans are struggling to make ends meet.
Government elitism is on full display in the Grisham administration.

Our government has left us. They want to let the illegals in let them. They can clean up the mess.
If the state does not do anything about her spending on this then the people should notify all of them that effective immediately we will no longer pay taxes for any reason until she is gone and sent to jail for embezzlement.
