AOC Assisted in Raising Funds for Protestors Accused of Assaulting Police

Officer Ella French was fatally shot in the line of duty on Saturday (Chicago Police Department).

Washington D.C. – Congressional Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) assisted in raising funds for protestors at the “straight pride parade” in Boston last weekend.

The parade took place August 31st and featured approximately 200 people marching in support of traditional family values. We cannot speak to their individual opinions, but supporting the values that founded and built our country is a positive message.

In fact, the openly gay conservative, Milo Yiannopoulus, was named “grand marshal” of the parade. Due to his conservative opinions, the left has blocked Yiannopoulus from speaking at multiple universities across the country.

The parade drew thousands of protestors to the streets who we would argue disturbed a peaceful (and legally permitted) celebration. The protests resulted in the arrests of 36 people, nine of whom are accused of assaulting police officers. Four police officers were injured in the melees.

A statement from Larry Calderone of the BPPA and reported by the Boston Herald shows the gravity of the situation.

Larry Calderone of the BPPA told reporters that objects thrown at police included “bottles of urine, bottles of chemicals, bottles of unidentified materials, rocks,” and he said that four injured officers have not yet been able to return to duty.

AOC and Pressley both advocated for people do contribute to a bail fund set up for those facing prosecution for their actions.

The fund, which features an image of a fist often associated with socialist and communist resistance groups, raised more than $24,500 from 698 contributors.

Make no mistake, resistance and revolution are the backbones of the growing socialist movement within the United States.

Revolution marks the changeover of governments to socialist and communist governing systems throughout history. The Chinese Communist Revolution resulted in the communist takeover of China in 1949. Fidel Castro, with the help of mass murderer Che Guevara, overthrew the Cuban government in 1959, and eventually resulted in a communist government.

There is no shortage of examples throughout history where revolutions backed by communist ideas resulted in the oppression of the people they pretended to support.

Now, we see it right here in the United States. Worst of all, we would argue these ideas are encouraged by elected officials such as AOC in Congress.

This quote from a self-proclaimed Antifa member at the protest plainly states the intentions of violent resistance from certain protestors:

“We’re covered in black so when we attack these guys we can’t be prosecuted,” Jon Crowley, a self-identified Antifa member, told the Boston Herald while at Saturday’s parade. He added that he believes violence is the only way deal with the “Straight Pride” marchers, saying: “They are fascists, 100%. How else are you going to get them to shut up?”

Of course, these “activists” deserve fair trials, and any American has the right to support them financially if they wish. The question that should be asked is, how close are these congresswomen coming to inciting violence and revolution when they support alleged assaults against the police? (It is unclear at this time if either congresswoman personally contributed to the fund).

AOC herself tweeted that these people, some of which are accused of injuring police officers, “put themselves on the line protecting the Boston community.” Those police officers, who were performing their duty to uphold the peace, are part of that community as well.

Americans have the right to express their opinions without being met with the threat of violence. Is that not something the LGBTQ community advocated for themselves?
