Officer Ella French was fatally shot in the line of duty on Saturday (Chicago Police Department).

San Francisco, CA – In what can only be described as a political stunt, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors labeled the NRA a “domestic terrorist organization.”

Catherine Stefani of District 2 drafted the resolution.

Now, it is only a resolution and therefore holds no power beyond a statement in opposition to the National Rifle Association. Regardless, it shows the bias of the extremists in charge of San Francisco. Extremists who do not believe in the Second Amendment rights guaranteed by the Constitution.

The NRA provided this statement to the local Fox News affiliate, KTVU:

“This ludicrous stunt by the Board of Supervisors is an effort to distract from the real problems facing San Francisco, such as rampant homelessness, drug abuse and skyrocketing petty crime, to name a few. The NRA will continue working to protect the constitutional rights of all freedom-loving Americans.”

“Ludicrous stunt” is an excellent way to phrase it. San Francisco is declining fast. If you do not believe us, you may take an interest in this quote from singer Michael Franti. He described the decline of his neighborhood to the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, September 3rd.

“In the last few months we have seen a dramatic increase of inhabited RVs moving into our neighborhood,” Franti said at the meeting. “We have always had a few people living in vans on this block. They we were always quiet, friendly. We’d have them over for holidays and we would often pay them to do odd jobs around the neighborhood. But where there was once one or two vans there is now a row of 20 inhabited vehicles, RVs and trailers, debris, human feces, needles, wastewater, dumping, and blocking of the sidewalk.”

The current board does not seem to care about addressing these problems, and current policies are only making things worse in the Bay Area.

Perhaps, the board should consider cleaning up their city rather than drafting meaningless resolutions.
