German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the government are attempting to pass a new infection protocol law. It is intended to make it easier for the government to rapidly institute lockdown measures on the people.
Many opponents worry it amounts to dictatorial powers, and some are even comparing it to the law that enabled Adolf Hitler’s dictatorship in 1933.

The German people are concerned about losing their rights and freedoms. Perhaps a larger concern for these folks is the threat to their jobs and their ability to provide for themselves and their families.
Instead of meeting these concerns with discourse, the German government in Berlin attempted to silence their voices with water cannons.
Nearly 200 protesters were reportedly arrested.
