Richmond, VA – Have you ever read an article where the lamestream media portrays a group of people (maybe you!) in a negative light, with titles that you know just aren’t true and don’t fit? Yep, we see this too much, and that’s a reason why we’re seeing the self-destruction of news outlets now.
Conservatives seem to be the target of the lamestream media. They use terms like “Alt-Right,” “extreme,” and “racist” for people that don’t follow the liberal narrative. Of course, 99.9% of the time, these labels simply aren’t true, but that’s not the point. The point is they are trying to create a narrative that destroys conservative (AKA traditional American) values.
Probably one of the most maligned groups is gun owners. Gun owners are always portrayed as “extreme,” “violent,” or “crazy.” Anything involving a gun should incite fear according to the lamestream media.
However, the real narrative is just the opposite. The 2nd Amendment is really what keeps our families and us safe. The 62 million-plus gun owners in America are not violent people. In fact, anytime gun owners hold a rally, the rally is always peaceful and non-violent in spite of the abundance of firepower at these events.
This is especially embarrassing for the left and their cronies in the press when they draw attention to a perceived threat. Then when, for the millionth time, there is no threat, they have to eat crow.
If you haven’t figured it out yet, we’re talking about the Gun Rights Rally in Richmond, Virginia, last Monday. Thousands of armed citizens rallied. No one got hurt, and there was no violence. This was in response to the Democrat-controlled state legislature and their liberal governor passing laws to restrict our civil liberties guaranteed under the 2nd Amendment.
It makes sense: peaceful speech and assembly under the 1st Amendment to defend the 2nd Amendment. The 2nd Amendment was probably glad the 1st decided to step up for a change.
This is after the Governor of Virginia declared a State of Emergency on “good intel” because of the rally and a perceived threat. The Governor banned all guns at the Virginia State Capitol, where the rally was being held. Gun owners answered with, “we will not comply.”
Well, this was a clarion call to the lamestream media. They built this false narrative of potential violence up because of the guns. Then, the press was forced to cover the rally – whoops!
So, now the press had to report that there was no violence, as they advertised, they had to focus on some fringe groups that showed up. Clearly, the press had to be the press and create their own narrative.
However, and we’re linking NBC here, they tried their hardest to make a story out of this. Unfortunately for them, the average citizen can see right through this narrative.
Sometimes the lamestream media can be forced into being useful idiots…not just by the left. We think this was the case in Richmond on Monday.
Don’t forget; the 2nd Amendment is what protects citizens from the government while protecting all of the other amendments in the Bill of Rights.
That includes the 1st Amendment, so maybe the press should reevaluate their maligned positions on guns and gun owners. We’re not holding our breath.
