Portland, OR — It’s a new year, but still the same riots. Rioters in Portland, Oregon, threw Molotov cocktails and other projectiles at police on New Year’s Eve.

According to Portland Police, two Molotov cocktails and commercial grade aerial fireworks were launched at the Hatfield federal courthouse and police. Others reportedly attempted to break into the Justice Center with tools. They were not successful.

Some arrests were made, but that information is not yet available.

Police declared a riot and ordered the crowd to disperse due to the violence. However, few reportedly headed the declaration.

Instead, the crowd started multiple fires and smashed up local businesses. Rioters started a fire that melted a dumpster to the pavement, ignited a traffic light, and lit at least one business on fire. The rioters also smashed and ransacked multiple businesses.

Police did not use tear gas, though they did reportedly employ impact munitions.

Reporter Andy Ngô shared videos of the violence. In this video, you can see a large firework detonate behind a line of outnumbered police officers. Other projectiles are thrown at the police responding to the violence. Ngô identified the rioters as Antifa, the radical left-wing terrorist organization plaguing American cities.

Worse still, Antifa rioters destroyed multiple businesses, including this Starbucks.

Antifa groups are hurting innocent people, while liberal politicians do little to condemn or curb the violence. Instead, these politicians are looking for ways to defund police departments while violent crime skyrockets in cities such as Portland, New York City, and Chicago.

  1. “for evil to exist is for good people to do nothing”. Apparently the mayors, and city councils do not care about protecting law abiding citizens, the citizens who actually pay taxes to fund their salaries. They are more concerned about protecting the terrorist, telling police to stand down, do little or nothing. This will continue until the citizens of these cities demand that the mayors, city councils, and the police do what they are paid to do. If not destruction, terror will reign, at this point force will be needed , in kind, to subdue the terrorist, lest some who have had enough take matters in to their own hands. Either the mayors, city council, police fix this or the situation will get more violent, it is up to them
