Cali High School Suspended Entire Baseball Team for Photo Without Masks

Burbank, CA — A California high school suspended the entire varsity baseball team for taking a senior yearbook photo without masks.

KABC reported that the photo was discovered on social media after the mothers organized it. It is a long-standing tradition for the seniors on the team to take a photo together for the yearbook.

Administrators at the Burbank Unified School District suspended the seniors from organized practice for two weeks and the underclassmen on the team for one week.

One senior on the team said the board attempted to cancel the team’s entire season. Thankfully, the players’ coach and athletic director defended the players’ actions, resulting in a lesser punishment.

Regardless of the length of the extension, this is an abuse of power, and that is exactly how one parent put it. Father Brian Nichols told KABC it is an “egregious abuse of power,” especially considering the underclassmen on the roster are also suspended.

These young men nearly lost their opportunity to play their final season of high school baseball because the school board members wanted to play king.

The only thing these students are guilty of is being respectful young men who took a photo for their mothers.

Tyranny like this has been prevalent in California, and across the country, for nearly a year now. Elected and unelected officials at every level, from the federal government to school boards, are abusing their power to control the lives of others.

In this case, the students received a two-week suspension from organized practice. In other cases, people lost their livelihoods.

  1. When is the stupidity going to end? The “powers that be” should be ashamed of themselves. Leave the kids alone. Spend your energy going after your insane governor, check yourselves for always doing the “right” thing! Enough of the communist motivated, Biden, Fauci, Pelosi BS! Give these boys a picture to remember with joy not the gloom thrust upon us by our government, with the help of the ChiComs

  2. They must be putting something in the water out there. These people are insane.Yesterday it was reported that it was going to cost $6.6 billion to reopen the schools in California. Thats a hell of an a lot of money just to unlock some doors. Of course you can bet Pelosi slipped it in somehow in her PORK package – like the $100,000,000 she slipped in for the Bay Area Transport. This bitch has no soul.
They penalize a baseball team and demand letting 1000’s of illegals stream in unchecked? You cant make this kind of idiocy up. The one silver lining out there is that with all the theatres that are closed or put on social distancing – 1/2 capacity at best – around the country The Hollywierdos cant release their new films .

  3. The decision made and enforced by the administrators of this H.S. district, shows that the Students and parents seem to be of a higher intelligence than are those of the administrators …. “Power, give me power” seems to be the definitive status of these “officials” with no regard for the Students and Parents whose diligence and perseverance has molded a group that is dedicated to and compliments the status of the group and the school.. It seems that the honor and glory which a small group has warranted is destined to be controlled by some group (self-appointed) to the detriment of the participants and the community!!

  4. These guys represent the school. Let their faces be shown! California school district is so hung up on petty stuff. Get back to basics, back to teaching in the building & stop sweating the small stuff. Let them enjoy their youth.

  5. Great picture, guys! Please make multiple copies to show to your grandchildren so they will understand the stupidity you had to battle when you were younger. Then move to Texas where there’s at least a modicum of common sense. (but leave your voting habits in CA)
