Black Lives Matter Except When They Don’t

With all of the protests against police, some root causes are ignored

Chicago, IL – Black lives matter except when they don’t. You may have heard about the shootings in Chicago, Illinois, last week, followed by the shootings at the funeral for the shooting victims. Or, maybe you didn’t. The lamestream media covered this, but it was overshadowed by the Black Lives Matter protests and potential federal law enforcement intervention to keep the peace.

The fact that cities with the most stringent anti-2nd Amendment laws in the country can’t stop the black on black violence in the inner cities. Unfortunately, this violence has become all-too-common in these communities, and the press seems to be desensitized to this. Is ignoring this violence inherent racism? That’s a good question, but the left seems to be exempt from being called racist or held accountable for racist policies.

Democrats have run these cities where the violence is happening for years with zero progress. The violence continues, but voters keep on voting in the same people who perpetuate the system. Black lives matter except when they don’t.

Of course, if someone from law enforcement were involved in one of these shootings, the media and protesters would descend upon Chicago with protests galore. Therin lies the hypocrisy of the left; they want to single out a few rotten eggs in law enforcement and blame the entire law enforcement community versus addressing the inherent problem in these communities.

These problems include poverty, lack of economic opportunity, poor educational opportunities, and government assistance programs that hurt these communities they are designed to help. Black lives matter except when they don’t.

Some of these protests or “movements” should spend some of the millions they are raising to help these communities of color address some of these issues. This won’t happen, because protesting, violence, ripping down statues of people who may support their movement, and being covered by the media is more critical than addressing any real problems or change the dynamic.

Black lives matter except when they don’t. We will continue to call out the hypocrisy of the left and call upon these people to do something to address the issues in these communities. Hint: it is NOT continuing the same big government, anti-freedom, and prosperity policies.

What do you think? Is there hypocrisy amongst the left? Are these protests really addressing issues that affect the lives of Black Americans? Should this really be about race, or should this be about unity and ALL Americans? Post your comments below or on social media.
