Freedom and the Constitution Win In Michigan

Commie Governor of Michigan gets her power taken away…

Lansing, MI – Freedom and the Constitution win in Michigan. Michigan’s Governor has been one of the biggest advocates of COVID-related mandates in the country. Luckily, the checks and balances in Michigan State Government Worked.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Executive Authority was challenged on extending her executive orders past April 30 of this year. The court case made it’s way from the lower courts to the Michigan Supreme Court. It should be noted that Whitmer still has a pending lawsuit against her in Federal Court that prohibited “non-essential” medical procedures. Hopefully, she loses that one as well.

From the Clinton News Network (CNN):

The Michigan Supreme Court ruled Friday that Gov. Gretchen Whitmer had no authority to issue or renew executive orders relating to Covid-19 beyond April 30…The Democratic Governor extended the state’s coronavirus emergency declaration by executive order April 30 after the Republican-controlled Legislature advanced a bill that would not have renewed the original declaration.

If only your state government worked this way. Especially if you are a citizen of New York or California. The Michigan case sets no legal precedent outside of Michigan, and the ruling was on Michigan State Constitutional law. We’re hoping other courts do take note.

More specifics from the article:

But the Michigan Supreme Court Friday ruled that Gov. Whitmer did not possess the authority under the EMA to re-declare a state of emergency or disaster based on the pandemic and that the EPGA was an “unlawful delegation of legislative power to the executive branch in violation of the Michigan Constitution.”…”Accordingly, the executive orders issued by the Governor in response to the Covid-19 pandemic now lack any basis under Michigan law,” the justices’ opinion reads.

Whitmer and other state Democrats have Trump Derangement Syndrome as well. She has been a frequent critic of the President. She apparently colluded with the Michigan Attorney General to send a nasty letter to President Trump for not wearing his mask in a Ford plant.

We hope Whitmer continues her losing way, as we do to all commies.
