Waltham, MA — Brandeis University released a list of “Oppressive Language” to avoid that might hurt or offend students.
The list is broken down into five categories, the first of which is “Violent Language.”
This section is particularly hilarious. It identifies phrases such as “killing it” as oppressive language and even offers an explanation, saying “there are other ways to say” someone is doing well “without equating it to murder.”
The funniest phrase that the university says might trigger the snowflakes students is “trigger warning.” Supposedly, the connection to guns might upset some of these poor oppressed students.
Believe it or not, this is a real list put out by a real university. There is even a form for students to suggest other triggering (oops) oppressive language.
Here is a short-list of some of the terms Brandeis University suggest might be triggering (oops again):
- You guys, Ladies and Gentlemen
- Policeman, congressman, etc.
- Freshman
- She/He
- Crazy, Insane, Wild
- Lame
- Long time no see
- No can do
- “Everything going on right now”
- Abusive relationship
- Homeless person
- Addict
- Prostitute
- Tribe
- Powwow
- Spirit animal
Ladies and gentleman, there you have it. Oh wait, maybe we don’t have it…
The word “picnic” was apparently on the list at one point, though the university appears to have removed it after the hilarious lashing they received on Twitter. Come to think of it, lashing is probably a no-no phrase, as well.

So when they start working in the real world they’ll be failures since they can’t handle certain words. You cannot expect people living and working in the real world their entire lives to quit using certain words because some person can’t handle it. Sorry words and phrases I’ve used all my life I will continue to use. I have rights too!
While it isn’t absolutely necessary to be an utter fool in order to run a university, it certainly doesn’t hurt.
I think there are graduate degrees….it’s called administration. It’s akin to basket weaving in a suit.

Oh, the poor widdle babies going to college to learn how to be adults. I am quite sure they ALL use all of the language that is oppressing them anyway. They are human beings, not robots or clones. Get real universities and colleges. Go back to school yourselves because you went backward in time long ago. Did you ever think maybe YOU are the problem? Here’s a partial list of terms that trigger me: sophomoric a$$es being educated far beyond their intelligence, snowflakes, safe spaces, karens, Generation x-y-z socialists, anarchists!
F*ck’em, no one of consequence cares if they’re offended. The only ones who really are concerned about it are pandering politicians who really don’t care any farther than appealing to their vote. The fragile little turds need to learn how to brush it off and drive on. It offends me that so called attendees of “higher learning” find any of these terms or euphemisms offensive to the point they are “triggered” or debilitated. Grow a spine dammit!
My new favorite sport will be to see how many of these trigger phrases I can use to offend these pathetic little snowflakes. Maybe even use it as a drinking game. Every time you make a Whiny snowflake cry ….take a shot of your liquor of choice.
The university is supporting the agenda of keeping these students from growing up. It’s time that the PC crowd take a long walk off of a short pier wearing concrete boots and the so called “woke” crowd should do so also. The universities are no longer for educating, they have just become brainwashers.

any university, college that subscribes to words they find offensive is in league with the liberal/socialist to destroy our Republic, and install a socialist government. I find it hard to believe that real Americans would support this, and if they do they are part of the problem, and need to be confronted, like they all ways try to confront us real Americans, time to throw it back at them. The other thing that has my curiosity is how much money are the universities and colleges receiving from foreign governments, foreign owned companies, socialist like sorros, clinton, styer, gates, obama, wall street, etc to promote this attack on our Republic, our Constitution. Those colleges and universities that are state funded aka our tax dollars, on state land, need to be censured. Any one on the board of regents, chancellors need to be vetted and agree to up hold the Constitution before for take office. In my opinion all professors, teachers in state colleges, university should be either neutral, in their politics, or there needs to be a balance of both sides of thought. The other thing is that all professors need to be teaching class 12-16 hrs per week or more. Enough is enough. Parents need to be aware of the colleges they send their kids to, and who is providing the most money.
When they use new words to replace words that offend them, the new words thereby become offensive. What’s left? The entirety of language becomes offensive.
Democrats never think things through. Once their knees jerk, their alleged minds stop working.
