Washington, DC – Politicians are A Protected Class except for President Trump. What are we talking about? We are talking about Washington, DC’s Mayor Muriel Bowser (Democrat – Duh!). She issues a mandatory mask order that had a few interesting exemptions.
More about the interesting exemptions later. We want to focus on what Bowser did go after President Trump. If this isn’t a political stunt, we don’t know what is. According to CNN (we will believe them on this one), a Washington, DC investigator was sent to the Trump Hotel to see if President Trump had violated the Mayor’s mandatory mask order at a fundraiser.

A Washington, DC, investigator inspected President Donald Trump‘s Washington hotel on Wednesday and found no violations of Covid-related regulations after images emerged of the President and others not wearing masks in the hotel’s lobby earlier in the week…The agency involved says it will continue to monitor the Trump International Hotel’s compliance with Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser’s regulations, which include the mandatory wearing of masks when inside businesses or the common areas of hotels…

The Washington Post first reported that the city had alerted the relevant channels after reports surfaced of Trump going without a mask at the hotel. John Falcicchio, Bowser’s chief of staff, previously told the Post that regulators would be pursuing the accounts…”We’ll send it to our agencies,” he told the paper. “They’ll look into it.”
If you don’t think this a politically motivated witch hunt, we have a bridge that goes from Manhattan to Brooklyn, we will sell it to you on the cheap! This is harassment, and Mayor Bowser is another Democrat suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Now back to Bowser’s mask exemptions. Her indoor and outdoor requirements are standard, wear them, or face a $1,000 fine. She is obviously using agencies for enforcement when it comes to hotels and restaurants.
But here is where it gets interesting, under Section IV(2.) of the Order, she exempts a special class of citizens. Here is the language verbatim:
The enforcement provisions of this Order shall not be applied to persons in the judicial or legislative branches of the District government while those persons are on duty; and shall not apply to any employees of the federal government while they are on duty.

So if you are an elected politician, a judge, or anyone on their staff, you are exempt from the mask mandate. The quote that immediately comes to mind is, “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” A proclamation by the pigs who control the government in the novel Animal Farm, by George Orwell.
Politicians are A Protected Class except for President Trump
If you are in the government, you are special and don’t have to follow the average citizen’s rules. Why should we be surprised? Democrats think that people in government are more important than the citizens they are supposed to serve. If you haven’t had a chance to read or re-read two timely novels, we would suggest both of these Orwellian novels: Animal Farm and 1984. Did Orwell have mystical powers of prophecy or common sense, knowing this is how big government always evolves?
