New Haven, CT – More elite Ivy League discrimination. Why are we saying “more”? That’s because we covered Harvard’s discriminatory practices, even the eating of their own liberal professor on our sister website. The Ivy League schools are a breeding ground for the liberal elite that preach to us and shame us on equality and tolerance. Maybe it’s time for them to practice what they preach. Our advice: don’t hold your breath!
Why are we telling you not to hold your breath? Well, Yale’s namesake was an alleged slave owner and trader. That taboo, causing names to be changed, monuments, and statues being torn down by the liberal-left doesn’t apply to their favored institutions. This is elitism at its finest, you commoners have to comply while we enlighted few do not!
It’s late on a Friday, so let’s get to the meat of the article. The Department of Justice is going after Yale University for its discriminatory admissions practices towards whites and Asian Americans (Asian Americans are often excluded as a protected class by the left).

Yale University illegally discriminates against Asian American and White applicants during the admissions process, the Department of Justice said Thursday following an investigation…The DOJ informed Yale in a letter from Civil Rights Division official Eric Drieband that it reached the conclusion after a two-year investigation triggered by a complaint from Asian American groups.

Color us, shocked! We think this happens systematically in all college admissions. But what makes this incredibly enjoyable is they’re going after liberal elite Yale. In other news, Yale has plenty of well-heeled Law Graduates ready to do battle to defend their discriminatory practices.

No surprises here, we would tell you not to send you kid to Yale, but it does give them a start on 3rd base after graduation for finding a job. So you may be thinking, “Yale is a private university, and as a private institution, they are not subject to equal rights legislation and the Constitution!” We would usually side with that argument, but Yale takes Federal money, so the strings attached means the government can be all up in your business.

As a condition of “receiving millions of dollars in taxpayer funding,” the letter said the Ivy League university must agree to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color or national origin in programs and activities receiving financial assistance from the federal government.

How bad is the discrimination? You have one-tenth the chance of being admitted to Yale if you’re Asian or White:
“The likelihood of admission for Asian American and White applicants who have similar academic credentials is significantly lower than for African American and Hispanic applicants to Yale College. For the great majority of applicants, Asian American and White applicants have only one-tenth to one-fourth of the likelihood of admission as African American applicants with comparable academic credentials.”

How long has Yale been doing this, and how long will it continue? The answers are a long-time and for the foreseeable future.
Yale has discriminated for decades, according to the DOJ, and it appears the university “intends to continue discriminating on the basis of race, apparently in perpetuity. Indeed, Yale admits that it intends to continue its race-based admissions process for the “foreseeable future.”
