Delaware: State has Problem with Legitimate Name of Company

Illegal Petes, a Chipotle-like small burrito chain in Colorado, ran into some problems with registering its name in Delaware. They won the battle, but the story is one of political correctness run amok.

The story covering Illegal Pete’s Delaware problem.

Now, for those of you who don’t know – Delaware is the state where a lot of corporations are registered/domiciled. This is because the State of Delaware has laws that are favorable to companies when it comes to lawsuits and such. They have their own “Division of Corporations” vs. states like Colorado where you register your business with the Secretary of State.

However, even though Delaware has a history of accepting odd names, apparently the word “Illegal” is a no-no. Obviously, it’s because of the immigration issue and President Trump, and the usual blah blah narrative the left likes to use.

This other article from Delaware Online is behind a paywall, but it does list some of the names Delaware has approved (obviously these are crass, and we apologize in advance, but it emphasizes the point):

  • Crabby Dicks Canal Inc.
  • Dickshark LLC
  • Tatas LLC
  • Shock & Awe LLC
  • Cocaine City Records LLC
  • Jerry Media LLC, owner of the social media influencer, F—Jerry.
  • Illegal People Touring Inc.
  • Illegal Civilization Inc.
  • Illegal Tender Inc.

As we pointed out, Illegal Pete’s (an homage to the owner’s wild and crazy dad – no immigration involved) was flagged solely because of the political correctness that runs rampant now with the illegal immigrant issue. We’ve found a lot of censorship on social media when we write about the topic as well.

The left and pro-big government types just don’t get it. This over-the-top PC mantra is EXACTLY what helped President Trump in 2016. We will let them keep making the same mistakes…

…What’s the definition of stupid?
