Biden Administration Strikes Trump Order for Lower Insulin Prices

Washington, D.C. — Back in December, in response to requests by the Department of Health and Human Service, Donald Trump announced a new rule aimed at reducing insulin and epinephrine costs.

This rule would require health organizations that get federal funding to pass on the significant price-breaks they get on these items to customers.

However, before this rule was into effect, it was blocked outright by the incoming Biden Administration until at least March.

While the effect of the order on drug prices is still being debated, many healthcare professionals are criticizing the Biden Administration for blanket partisan opposition to a rule designed to help people with serious medical needs.

This is a developing story, and we will be reporting further with new developments.
