Washington, D.C. – In a recent article, the Washington Post called notorious terrorist, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, a “religious scholar.”

The ISIS leader died after triggering the explosive vest he was wearing during a U.S. military raid in Syria on Saturday. President Donald Trump announced the news on Sunday.

It is no secret the Washington Post seeks to undermine Trump at every turn. So it comes as little surprise the biased paper would twist the narrative around a successful military operation to hurt the president.

Though, calling a terrorist an “austere religious scholar” is something we previously thought beyond even the most biased in the mainstream media. This is a man who led an extremist group of killers and rapists. Under his leadership, ISIS caused immeasurable damage to people’s lives.

According to the Business Insider, the article held three different titles.

1. The original headline called him the “Islamic State’s terrorist-in chief.”

2. Then it called him an “austere religious scholar at the helm of Islamic State.”

3. It was finally changed to “extremist leader.”

How on earth does anyone believe the second title is acceptable? The headline did not need an update. “Terrorist-in chief” is incredibly accurate.

Perhaps, the biased news source decided they wanted to use the original phrase to describe Trump. Regardless, changing the headline was a mistake.

We are thoroughly disgusted, and we expect most Americans are as well.
