New York, NY – The Mayor of NYC, Karl Marx and Che Guevara walk into a bar…It sounds like a joke, right?!?! Unfortunately, it’s not. The Mayor of New York City is showing his true stripes. After praising Che Guevarra on the campaign trail for President, he has now invoked Karl Marx. Shocked, we are not.
How many years ago was it when President Reagan called the Soviet Union the “Evil Empire”? Well, according to Wikipedia, it was 1982…or 1983. Let’s quote a little Wiki as a segue to the rest of this article:
Some sources refer to the June 1982 speech before the British House of Commons in London as the “Evil Empire” speech,[2] but while Reagan referred twice to totalitarianism in his London speech, the exact phrase “evil empire” was not included.[citation needed] Rather, the London speech included the phrase “ash heap of history“, used by Reagan to predict what he saw as the inevitable failure and collapse of global communism.[citation needed] Bolshevik revolutionary Leon Trotsky used a similar phrase in November 1917, asserting that the Mensheviks belonged in the “dustbin of history”.[3]

President Reagan predicted the inevitable collapse of global communism, then Barack Obama got elected President, and communism was off to the races again globally. Let’s remember the better times. Here is some more Reagan on the Evil Empire:
Reagan’s March 8, 1983 speech to the National Association of Evangelicals in Orlando, Florida, is his first recorded use of the phrase “evil empire”. The speech has become known as the Evil Empire Speech. In that speech, Reagan said:[4][5]…” Yes, let us pray for the salvation of all of those who live in that totalitarian darkness—pray they will discover the joy of knowing God. But until they do, let us be aware that while they preach the supremacy of the State, declare its omnipotence over individual man, and predict its eventual domination of all peoples on the earth, they are the focus of evil in the modern world.”

Now the supremacy of the state is reigning supreme with COVID-19 lockdowns and the rise of Totalitarianism. But let’s get back to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. Last year in his ill-fated Presidential bid, de Blasio got in trouble for quote Che Guevara in Miami. He later backtracked but as the New York Post pointed out at the time:
De Blasio – who studied Latin American history for his master’s degree and traveled to Nicaragua in 1988 to support the Guevara-inspired Sandinista government – outraged Miami’s Hispanic community on Thursday when he publicly quoted the bloodthirsty revolutionary.

Of course, for a communist like de Blasio, the Che Guevarra controversy wasn’t enough. Now he is all in on Karl Marx. Again, from the New York Post:
In response, de Blasio admitted that “my focus has not been on the business community and the elites” before adding, “I am tempted to borrow from Karl Marx here.”…Hizzoner then went on to recite from memory a concept expressed in Chapter 1 of the infamous “Communist Manifesto” written by Marx and comrade Friedrich Engels in 1848… “There’s a famous quote that the ‘the state is the executive committee of the bourgeois’ and I use it openly to say, ‘No,'” de Blasio said.

De Blasio is not a closeted communist; he is definitely out of the closet. It is truly unnerving that someone who idolizes Marx and his disciples can be in charge of any level of government in America.
We genuinely wish Reagan was more prophetic. Communism has risen from the ash heap like the Phoenix. We need to stop it in its tracks, or we will forever lose this country.
What do you think? Is de Blasio a communist or is this just spin? Does this make you more or less likely to visit New York City? NYC has gone from Giuliani to Bloomberg to de Blasio as mayors, can the trend get any worse? Please write your comments below or on social media.
