Guantanamo Bay Residents, Including 9/11 Terrorists, to Receive COVID-19 Vaccines

Washington, D.C. — The Pentagon announced they will be providing COVID-19 vaccines to all 6,000 residents of Guantanamo Bay Cuba, including the terrorists involved in the 9/11 attacks, starting as early as next week.

At the same time, hundreds of thousands of at-risk people in nursing homes are still waiting for the opportunity to receive vaccines themselves.

The Pentagon claims that 1,500 vaccines will be given to soldiers stationed on the base. However, vaccines will be given to inmates on a voluntary basis.

However, no plans were made to provide coronavirus vaccines to the heroic first responders of the 9/11 terrorist attack. Many of these men and women now suffer from respiratory and other health issues related to their response to the attack.

Anyone with underlying respiratory problems is at a much greater risk of complications due to COVID-19. On top of that, many of these first responders are reaching an age that further increases their risk of death due to the coronavirus.

Many, including Rich Palmer, are frustrated that the terrorists who perpetrated the attack are cutting the line.

Rich Palmer is a former 9/11 first responder now living with health conditions related to the attack. Palmer wants the vaccine but cannot receive it because 9/11 first responders don’t fall under the category to get vaccinated first.

“The way the state is handling this vaccination is disgraceful,” says Palmer.
