Electoral College Certification Will Resume Tonight

Washington, D.C. — The Electoral College certification will resume tonight after protesters who stormed the Capitol building are removed, according to multiple sources.

The media is reporting that the House and Senate will reconvene at 8 pm, though leadership is silent so far.

Senators, Representatives, and staff were evacuated today when pro-Trump protesters stormed the Capitol building.

The protest reportedly turned violent. Police confirmed one woman was shot and later died of her wounds. Few details have been released by police.

Senator Rand Paul reportedly said he does not believe there will be more objections to the Electoral College certification when the House and Senate reconvene.

Paul and other lawmakers condemned the protester’s actions.
