Control of the Country Hinges on Georgia Runoff Elections on Tuesday

Atlanta, GA — Control of the country hinges on the Georgia runoff elections on Tuesday. The margins are razor-thin, but early voting again favors Democrats.

Georgians already cast over three million votes in the two Senate runoff elections.

Republicans must win at least one of the Senate seats to keep Democrats from taking total control of the country. If Democrats secure both seats, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will hold the tie-breaking vote in the U.S. Senate.

A likely reason for strong Democrat turnout in the traditionally red state is an influx of donations from liberals across the country. For instance, Democrat challenger Jon Ossoff’s campaign received six times more in donations from California than Georgia. As much as we may hate it — money buys elections.

Republicans must turn out in droves on election day to secure enough votes for incumbent GOP Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue. Luckily for the GOP, election day turnout favors Republicans.

According to a recent FOX News article, this Georgia GOP strategist believes Republicans need a huge turnout on election day.

Longtime Georgia-based Republican consultant Chip Lake told Fox News on Monday that “it’s critical that we have a big Election Day turnout. In November, Election Day turnout was about 20% of the total turnout. I think for this election we need it in the 25-30% range.”

Tonight, both President Donald Trump and President-elect Joe Biden are holding rallies to get voters to the polls. Trump is campaigning for Loeffler and Perdue in northern Georgia, while Biden will concentrate his efforts in Atlanta.

The fate of the country rests in the hands of Georgia voters.
