America, USA – Why have citizens been gravitating away from the “Mainstream” Media? If you read our articles, you know the answer to this. But on the eve of one of the most critical elections of our lifetime, let’s refocus on something we’ve lost – the news industry and its integrity.
Here at the Citizen’s Press, we have written extensively about how bad the “Mainstream Media” (MSM) is at honestly reporting the news. This is an issue that pre-dates President Trump’s coverage, but now the MSM is emboldened enough NOT to try to hide their bias.

Why have citizens been gravitating away from the “Mainstream” Media?
Here we are, with billions of dollars of free media going after Trump and Republicans while pumping up Democrats and liberals. The MSM has become the left’s campaign arm, leaving citizens without a reliable, unbiased source of information.
A study and poll by Gallup in September show the majority of Americans don’t trust the media. When the media itself reports on these issues, it is with an arrogant tone. Essentially calling readers, watchers, and Americans in general “idiots”. This is the mantra of the left; if you don’t agree with us, then you must be an idiot, or racist, or something bad.
When one of the MSM’s own, who has a moment of clarity, calls out the industry, they are immediately demonized. Bari Weiss was forced out of the New York Times. Piers Morgan is on the outs after criticizing the media’s dismissal of the Hunter Biden emails. Now, reliable liberal Glenn Greenwald has resigned from his own organization in protest.

What happens if Biden wins tomorrow? The left will no longer seek the MSM for support. Their Trump Derangement Syndrome will no longer be an issue. Controversy drives readership and clicks. Ironically, the MSM has signed its own death warrant by actively campaigning against Trump for the last five years.
We could continue to say “good riddance.” However, a free and unbiased press is essential to our Republic. This is the sad state of affairs in America. Tomorrow’s election may bring change. Will America survive? We will fight to save it, and hope you will continue to join us!
