Atlanta, GA – Obama just can’t let it go. He can’t accept that he is no longer President. Call this narcissism, ego, or any psychobabble term you want, but Obama (and Bill Clinton, for that matter) can’t give up the spotlight. Obama has been incredibly bad with breaking the unwritten rule of former presidents not criticizing their successors, and definitely not proposing policy. Bush 43 is an excellent example of this; he stayed pretty quiet during Obama’s Presidency.
Every time Obama is given a platform, he decides to criticize President Trump or propose policy changes. Obama’s narcissism is so bad, that even when it is highly inappropriate to make it about you, like at a funeral, he decided to take the opportunity. Under the guise of supporting deceased U.S. Representative John Lewis, Obama took to the pulpit to propose some policy changes.
Obama’s policy changes included ending the Fillibuster, and for the rest, we’ll quote Politico:
Beyond that, Obama called for legislation to ensure all Americans are automatically registered to vote, grant Congressional representation to Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, make election day a federal holiday and end partisan Gerrymandering.

For starters, the Fillibuster had nothing to do with Jim Crow, and Obama, like most socialists, is trying to re-write history. When the Fillibuster was used by the U.S. Senate during the Civil Rights movement in the 1950s and 60s, it was used by DEMOCRATS. Who currently serves in the minority in the U.S. Senate? Yes, Democrats. Who again is using the Fillibuster to stop an agenda? Yep, democrats again. Obama is still trying to bend the truth and promote a false agenda like when he was in office.
Of course, one of the top trending topics on Twitter was #MyPresident. The left took to social media to declare that they don’t recognize the duly and legally elected current President, President Trump as President. They ignore how Obama’s policies deeply hurt this country, and how Obamacare is a permanent financial stain and strain on this country. The left is in denial, and if President Trump is re-elected, we can’t wait to see the total meltdown of these people.
Obama also weighed in Gerrymandering. The practice predominately used by Democrats to draw majority-Democrat Congressional Districts (The GOP when they try this get shot down by the courts) to help their numbers in Congress. This is important because Redistricting, the process of redrawing districts every ten years, is happening next year. Without Gerrymandering for the Democrats, they may be in a permanent minority in the U.S. House of Representatives. Obama misleads the public here, making it sound like Republicans are the problem. We know the truth doesn’t matter to these people.
To counteract the removal of the practice of Gerrymandering, for those of us who understand the numbers involved, Obama proposes Statehood for Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico. D.C. could add up to two congressional seats from Democrats, while Puerto Rico, with nearly three million people, could add up to six seats. Now it’s debatable where these seats would come from, maybe New York or California. However, we see those states as reliably Blue, so you could see the few Republican seats cannibalized in the process. Obama is hugely partisan, and these policy positions only benefit his team.
Then finally, there is Obama’s call for making Election Day a National Holiday. Meaning this would force employers to provide another holiday for workers to take off and go vote. In theory, this would help Democrats by higher turnout by hourly workers. The ruse here is that ninety percent of people vote by absentee or mail-in ballot. How come this last ten percent isn’t responsible enough to drop off a ballot at a 24 Hours ballot box before the election. This is just another unnecessary Obama-mandate. We sure are glad he is out of office.
