Denver, CO – Liberal double standards and eating their own. If you are surprised that liberals don’t live by the same standards that they preach, you need to read more of our articles. What is interesting to us is how the liberals are turning on each other. We even see potential liberal on liberal violence. Denver and Chicago are good examples of this.
Let’s start with Denver, Colorado. Denver City Council member Candi CdeBaca proposed that the Denver Police Force be replaced by a “Peace Force” last week. We’re not going to go into details, just know it was pretty wacky. Candi CdeBaca earned the nickname “Commie Candi” for her praise of communism and other far-left things by our sister website.
From Colorado Politics:
CdeBaca’s proposal would have abolished the police department with voters’ approval this November and replaced it with a “peace force.” The measure had blindsided council members who weren’t made aware of the proposal and had little time to review the bill…At the meeting, Sandoval told CdeBaca that she portrays issues as the combative councilwoman versus everyone else and that’s not the case…” I support a lot of your initiatives,” Sandoval said. “I support a lot of things that are going on. But it’s the same violence that is happening in our community. It’s Black on Black. It’s brown on brown.”
The Denver City Council is pretty far-left. However, even they couldn’t embrace Commie Candi’s Peace Force Proposal. As you can read, City Council member Amanda Sandoval voted against the proposal. She even admonished Commie Candi for being “combative”. Sandoval also pointed out the real problem in communities of color – black on black and brown on brown crime.

Well, Sandoval’s common-sense vote and comments ruffled the feathers of some of the violent protesters. This is pretty funny because Sandoval has been an ally of Commie Candi’s wacky proposals in the past. So the extreme-far-left should love her. Here’s what happened according to Colorado Politics:
North Denver turned out in force Friday to back City Councilwoman Amanda Sandoval, who refused to be bullied when she learned a group of people unhappy with her comments at a council meeting planned to march to her house.

But there’s more:
A group called the Afro Liberation Front planned to meet at the park and then march to Sandoval’s home nearby to protest her “irresponsible and reckless” remarks related to a policing bill by Councilwoman Candi CdeBaca presented Monday night. The announcement included Sandoval’s home address and the hashtags #RecallSandoval and #AbolishThePolice.

Sandoval needed protection from this liberal Afro Liberation Front (ALF) group. This is indicative of what is happening in society today; the lefties are trying to bully everyone who doesn’t have the same views and vision. This is very totalitarian. Of course, when this ALF group found out they may have a fight on their hands, they backed down. The protest and march were canceled. However, this is classic liberals eating their own.
ALF is still making demands and threats, though:
But the organization made clear it still expected an apology from Sandoval and it was unhappy with other council members’ remarks during the discussion. The ALF said in a statement, “We will not be offering any warnings before our next action of this type.”

Yeah, so this will be a surprise attack next time. No one is safe.
If no liberal is safe from their own people, that would explain why Chicago, Illinois Mayor Lori Lightfoot had police bar protesters from the block of her house. Too funny that this elitist liberal, who is anti-gun, needs to be surrounded by a security detail. She is okay with her city being looted and burned as long as they don’t hit her house. What about the citizens she “represents”? They don’t have this luxury.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot defended the Chicago Police Department’s ban on protesters being able to demonstrate on the block where she lives, telling reporters Thursday that she and her family at times require heightened security because of threats she receives daily…Lightfoot refused to elaborate on the specific threats, but said she receives them daily against herself, her wife and her home.

Every elected official gets threats. She has the benefit of a security detail. These protesters are allowed to go into everyone else’s neighborhood, but not the Mayor’s. Do what I do, not what I say.
What makes this worse is she is taking law enforcement resources from the community that needs it to stave off the looting and violence. More from the Chicago Tribune:
Aside from the expanded police presence to block protesters from reaching her home, Lightfoot already receives 24/7 protection from cops including officers stationed at the residence. The aggressive policing has sometimes siphoned away resources from the area’s police district, some sources with knowledge of the situation said, leading to quiet grumbling.

Lightfoot obviously believes “Black Lives Matter”, but only applies it to herself. What about the rest of the citizens in one of the most violent cities in America. They don’t have that benefit. This is still liberals eating their own, liberal protesters going after liberal politicians.
The hypocrisy isn’t lost on us. Maybe some of these Democrats will wisen up and do something about the looting and crime in the name of Social Justice. We doubt it; Democrats have overseen the decay in big cities for decades.
