Georgia Democrat Senate Candidate Supports Closing Businesses in State

Atlanta, GA — Georgia Democrat Senate candidate Jon Ossoff supports closing businesses in the state if “public health experts” recommend it.

Ossoff admitted he would blindly follow shutdown recommendations.

“The spread is out of control. And the problem is, we have ignored the public health experts. So, I will be listening to them and not to political consultants, pollsters, or folks who are looking out for their own financial interests, like my opponent,” Ossoff said.

Ossoff is in a tough runoff election with incumbent Senator David Perdue.

The election is set to take place on Jan 5.

Public health officials are not economic experts. We need balanced policies to handle COVID-19, not blunt force shutdowns that create further social and economic problems.
