Portland, OR – Flag and Bible burning protesters. That is what is going on now. What has this country come to? It’s clear these Marxists want to attack all American institutions. Clearly, they aren’t limiting their destruction to statues anymore.
Let’s be clear: the burning of the American Flag and the Bible are disgusting to us. We don’t care if it’s an “expression” of Freedom of Speech. The burning of the Bible is sacrilegious. The burning of the flag just shows a certain level of disrespect for America. These protesters don’t see the irony of what they’re doing – they’re burning the symbol of what gives them the right to burn that symbol.
As the New York Post reports:
Friday night’s demonstrations were largely peaceful, appearing to mark a break from the chaos as federal agents made a recent deal to allow local authorities to handle the protests…But just after midnight, marchers were caught on video using the flag and holy book as kindling for bonfires lit outside the federal courthouse, which has been a focal point of rioting after the death of George Floyd in police custody in May, according to a news report.

Someone with the Twitter handle @ShellDrayk Tweeted out the video retweeted by Senator Ted Cruz, amongst many others. That video was taken down by Twitter – no surprise to anyone, Twitter is part of the left-wing mob trying to hide anything that puts liberals in a bad light. @ShellDrayk did successfully repost the video.

So what does this mean politically? Even if you support the protester’s movement with the part of shining light on occasional police brutality, this will probably raise a lot of eyebrows. Especially in suburban America, where it will be impossible to convince these voters that this is about more than police brutality and racial injustice. Clearly, these protesters are going too far, and their message is being exposed as Marxist Propaganda.
The left is playing right into President Trump being re-elected. Even though Trump supporters are being demonized, there is a growing silent majority that will vote against this liberal lawlessness in November. You might want to stock up on buckets to catch and recycle all of the liberal tears after Trump’s re-election. Use it to water that thirsty Kentucky Bluegrass suburban lawn you have.
