London, UK – Do you want to bet on who will win tonight? If you’re wondering why this article is based out of another country, please read on – it will all make sense. Our disclaimer is we DO NOT support or promote gambling, although we believe the “smart money” is hopefully going to the right guy.
Apparently, betting on U.S. Elections is a “thing” overseas. Like in 2016, the smart money is on President Trump winning re-election:
“The 2020 election is following a very similar betting pattern to the one we witnessed back in 2016. The closer we got to Election Day, the more money came for Donald Trump,” Eaton said…One bookmaker, Paddy Power, told the Sun that 93% of wagers had been on Trump over the previous 24 hours.

We see a little irony here. The Brits, from whom we declared our independence 244 years ago, are betting on an American Patriot. We aren’t going to compare President Trump to Geroge Washington…Because Washington was taller (a little levity on Election Day). We also find this interesting, because according to the lamestream media, Trump is hated internationally.
More from the New York Post:
While illegal in the U.S., betting on politics is popular in the U.K. and many other countries — and the 2020 election is shaping up to be the biggest betting event of all time…In the last four hours, 71% of money wagered on the 2020 U.S. election was on Trump, the site said — which the site’s head of marketing, Sam Eaton, called a “remarkable” swing.

So, clearly, Trump is a good bet. Apparently, the polls are wrong like they were in 2016. In fact, and we’ll just throw this out there, the polls are CLOSER than 2016. Remember that Hillary landslide? Hillary has a better chance of going to jail than being President.
There is one gambler who is an ex-banker. He may have set the record for the largest political wager in history. Usually, bankers are conservative guys – not exactly betting folk.
A British gambler has reportedly staked $5 million on President Trump winning Tuesday’s election — a wager believed to be the largest-ever political bet…The former banker used private bookmakers registered on the Caribbean island of Curacao for the bet at odds of 37/20 — meaning he could get a $15 million payout, sources told the Sun.

If we were gamblers here at the Citizen Press, our money would be on Trump. However, the U.S. Presidency is not something to gamble with.
