Sacramento, CA – California Governor says to mask-up while chewing your food. Our sympathy goes out to our readers in and from California. The land of fruits and nuts keeps on getting fruitier and nuttier. California politicians are on the cutting edge of more communism and less liberty.
The left goes after President Trump for tweeting; maybe they should try to police their own. In this case, I’m sure more control is precisely what the Democrats want. Today’s special Dem is California Governor Gavin Newsome. The former Mayor of San Francisco tweeted this gem:
The California governor’s office put out a tweet on Saturday advising that restaurant-goers keep their masks on while dining. “Going out to eat with members of your household this weekend?” the tweet reads. “Don’t forget to keep your mask on in between bites. Do your part to keep those around you healthy.”

These people want to regulate our lives right down to what we do while we are chewing. This goes far beyond mom and dad, telling you to chew with your mouth closed. But still, make sure you chew with your mouth closed behind your mask in California – you don’t want to be arrested by the mask and dining police.
How stupid is this? Even “journalists” questioned this:
“I’m very confused by this tweet. The image suggests you should only take your mask off once when you begin a meal but the text suggests you should put it back on between bites,” journalist Matthew Fuhrman wrote, referring to the graphic shared in the tweet.

Rightfully so, Twitter hit back with some snark:
“Should we wash our hands after touching our mask each time we remove it between bites? What if I’m eating chips and salsa and I go for a double dip? Is that technically two bites since it’s the same chip?” another person asked.

Of course, citizens are getting conflicting messages on COVID from the big-government types. As one tweeter pointed out:
“This violates the @WHO ‘Dont’s of Mask wearing,'” another person tweeted, including a graphic from the World Health Organization which advises people to avoid touching their mask as much as possible, and to wash their hands before touching their mask and after discarding it.
