Big Brother is Going to Shut Off Your Water and Power

We will force you into compliance, it doesn’t matter if you pay for these services…

Los Angeles, CA – Big Brother is going to shut off your water and power. The government will force you to comply with their controlling mandates no matter what the cost. If you think just because you pay for services, this will stop the government – you are wrong. You will comply, how dare you thinking you have free will!

Now that we have scared you or made you angry let’s discuss what we are talking about. Private businesses and homes that are not complying with local and state mandates in Los Angeles will have their water and power turned off. Yes, we are NOT making this up.

Los Angeles, California Mayor Eric Garcetti has authorized this for businesses and homes believed to be having gatherings (or any other COVID-19 mandate violations) with too many people. No due process here.

From Fox News:

During a press conference Wednesday night, Mayor Eric Garcetti authorized the city to shut off power and water to properties, including houses and businesses, that are in violation of gathering regulations as a means to “shut these places down permanently.”… “By turning off that power, shutting off that water we feel we can close these places down, which usually are not one-time offenders but multiple-offenders,” Garcetti said.

Here are a few key things from this quote. First, he says, “usually are not one-time offenders”. The translation here is he expects the City bureaucrats to have broad discretion here. Second, he wants to close these places down. This is very totalitarian as it applies to business, but he wants to shut down your home?!?!

Big Brother is going to shut off your water and power.

The more Garcetti talks, the scarier this gets. Shutting down homes and businesses access to water and power, services that they pay for is bad enough. However, this appears to be unconstitutional. Not that Democrats like Garcetti care.

More from Fox News:

He noted that local law enforcement officers are having a hard time dealing with gatherings where there are hundreds of people who are “breaking the law.”… “We know we can do this,” Garcetti said, responding to a question about the measure’s legality…The authorization comes as the state battles a recent surge in confirmed cases. According to the mayor’s office, Los Angeles had nearly 198,000 cases as of Wednesday, as well as 4,825 fatalities.

If law enforcement can’t do it, let’s roll our bureaucrats! Garcetti says, “we know we can do this”. Usually, politicians say, “We checked with our lawyers”. This is not the case here.

The justification is a surge in cases. We find the math a little funny here. Now, please understand that we value life, and the loss of one is horrifying. However, if Los Angeles has 198,000 cases and 4,825 fatalities, that’s only 2.4%. The City of Los Angeles has about 4 million people. Los Angeles County has over 10 million people. You would think there would be more of a surge here.

Big Brother is going to shut off your water and power.

If this is NOT abundantly clear to you by this point, COVID-19 and the public policy surround this “pandemic” is about one thing: CONTROL! The math just doesn’t justify shutting down businesses, people’s lives, mask mandates, and shutting off your water and power.

It’s no wonder California has seen a massive migration out of the state (at least legal residents). Unfortunately, the politics and policies that destroyed the state are infecting other states with this migration. When will people learn? If you vote for the same people and policies in your new state, the same thing will happen. Coronavirus isn’t the only virus spreading.

What do you think? Is Garcetti justified in shutting off water and power? How controlling can these Democrats get? Do you live in Los Angeles, what do you think about this? Please write your comments below and on social media.
